It’s finally here, after brief delays Nintendo has launched the final version of the Wii’s Opera-based web browser — “the Internet Channel.”

The download will be free until the end of June and then the cost goes up to $5 — run, don’t walk!

In a recent announcement made by Nintendo, they talked about the “improved usability” of the final version, which includes upgraded zoom, scrolling, and search functions — that’s all great, but there’s no USB keyboard.

Are you one of the many of fans of Halo out there…did you know that on May 16, Microsoft’s Bungie Studios will finally be opening up the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. In order to participate in the beta–which will only cover the multiplayer aspects of the game–players need to have purchased a specially marked copy of the action game, Crackdown, or have won a spot through a series of regional contests.

Those who are lucky enough to have a spot will be able to log into their Xbox Live Gold accounts, download the beta and play in it until June 6. During the beta, Microsoft will be making three game maps available — Valhalla, High Ground and Snowbound. The beta includes several new features: a new type of grenade, a new and different class of weapon and new online functionality, as well as a host of hidden features. For Microsoft, Halo 3 is one of its brightest stars, and it is counting on the title to be a huge hit for the Xbox family.
